Do you need legal guidance but can't afford the services of a lawyer?
Grande Prairie Legal Guidance(GPLG) may be able to help. GPLG offers free legal guidance to low income individuals who have a legal problem and do not qualify for Legal Aid. GPLG uses a set of income guidelines to determine whether you will be able to qualify for assistance from GPLG.
- Legal clinics are offered twice per month
- Volunteer lawyers donate their professional time to meet with you to discuss your legal concerns
- Services may include information, advice or referrals to appropriate agencies
- Services are now being provided in the area of Family Law
Lawyers provide advice to individuals who have legal problems in the following areas:
- Landlord/Tenant
- Employment
- Debt/Contract
- Family Law
- Wills and Estates
- Administrative Law
- Traffic/Bylaws
- Civil Cases
- Summary Criminal (not covered by Legal Aid)
Representation in Court is not provided.
Clinics:
Saturday Clinics are held in the afternoon between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm (by appointment only)
Tuesday Clinics are in the evening between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm (by appointment only)

Who Qualifies for Service:
GPLG uses a set of income guidelines to determine whether you are able to qualify for our assistance. Clients who do not qualify for Legal Aid and who are on low income may be eligible.
We may be able to help you:
- understand legislation
- obtain information
- complete forms
- prepare for court dates and hearings
